Municipalities are trying to understand the opportunities the sale of Clean Energy Credits may present to help advance low-carbon initiatives and what the sale of those credits means to municipal climate targets and commitments. During this webinar, the City of Toronto will share information about their Carbon Credit Policy and TTC to share how they are exploring opportunities regarding the Clean Fuel Regulations. The Region of Waterloo will share the results from the municipal Carbon Credit/Offset Policy survey, and research will be shared on what is emerging as a leading practice for municipalities on the role, purpose and implications of municipal carbon credits and the general role that offsets play in municipal climate targets and commitments.
