The following active transportation investments have been made in Burlington over the past decade:
- Implementation of over 189 kilometres of on-road and off-road cycling infrastructure, including Burlington’s first protected cycling facilities and protected intersections (Plains Road)
- Four metre-wide multi-use paths paved along hydro corridors
- City Council unanimously approved the Integrated Mobility Plan (IMP) in November 2023. The IMP sets the vision for mobility and will direct funding for future active transportation projects.
