Timeline 2023 onwards
Launched in 2023, the Guelph Greener Homes Program offers a zero-interest loan to residential property owners in Guelph to help cover the costs of residential energy efficiency upgrades. The Guelph Greener Homes program can help reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and make homes more energy-efficient, comfortable, and climate-friendly.
The program provides zero-interest loans of up to $50,000 to people who qualify. Projects such as solar panel installations, insulation, window and door repair or replacement, heat pump installations and smart thermostats are eligible for funding from the City. There is also a grant of up to $15,000 for low-income applicants to install air-source heat pumps.
