Timeline: 2022 onwards
The Town of Oakville received its first electric Zamboni in 2022 as part of a climate change initiative that is expected to save taxpayers money and improve indoor air quality at the same time.
2024 update:
• Two new electric ice resurfacers were deployed at the end of 2024
• Each electric ice resurfacer reduces GHG emissions by approximately 29 tonnes
